Hmm, that’s a tough call.
OK, maybe I’m biased because yes, he came to town (although I was nowhere near wherever that thing was), but why is he considered funny? There’s being funny and mocking people, like Colbert and Stewart. Then there’s being an asshole and trying to incite violence. They asked for extra cops at the event locally, and to show that OMG homophobic people don’t like to see gay guys make out? No shit, Sherlock.
@lala: I think he’s a particular brand of funny that only appeals to some people. I have friends who were dying over Borat and calling it the funniest thing they had ever seen. I watched it. I laughed once, and it was a chuckle. I guess he’s on that list of comedians who aren’t universally funny with Andy Kaufman.
OK, you ladies are funny and also don’t get him. That makes me a feel better. And I think he’s going to have to get a new act soon, because eventually, he’s going to lose one of those lawsuits. Release forms or no.
I never saw the humor in Borat. Same goes for Bruno.
