Football Friday Night

fridaynightlightsd81cf1NBC is doing something most networks gave up on a long time ago–investing in quality programming. Case in point, they’ve renewed critically-acclaimed (and certified AWESOME by me) Friday Night Lights for two more 13-episode seasons. The show will run through the 2010-2011 season and will continue its partnership with DirectTV, airing episodes on their network before premiering them on NBC.

While the show has struggled in the ratings, it’s received plenty of critical praise, in addition to Emmy and Peabody nominations. Seriously guys, if you are not watching this show, give it a shot. It’s one of the most well-written, superbly-acted shows on television. And, it’s not just about football. Watch, you won’t be disappointed!

  1. Yay! I was so excited to see this today. I also will love to see how they rotate old characters out and new ones in – they’ve been doing a good job with that this season I think.

    • @London_Calling: I’ve noticed that too. It’s been pretty seamless they way they moved Jason Street and Smash out, and brought JD and his family in. Although, I’m going to be distraught when it’s Tim Riggins’ time to go. My lord, he is so hot!
