Freaky Friday Flashback

wee_441Happy Friday, y’all! We’ve finally almost reached the end of another long-ass week and I’m ready to get out of this office, drink some beer and watch some college basketball (ACC Tournament, baby!). But until then, let’s take a fond look back at one of the biggest WTF? moments in pop culture history. This one takes us back to 1996, when one of the hottest men in Hollywood did one of the weirdest things: downeyjrRobert Downey, Jr. was found passed out in his Malibu neighbor’s house, in a child’s bed. His subsequent arrest came just a month after he’d been charged with possession of heroin and cocaine. This, along with a few more drug-related brushes with the law led to a year long prison sentence in 1999.

Anyway, Robert recently received an Academy Award nomination for his role in Tropic Thunder, and his Iron Man flick scored big at the box office. Oh, how I love a happy ending! And now, here’s one last man candy pic for ya:

  1. So… Heath Ledger was on the cover of Vanity Fair in 2000 and there was a bigass article about RDJr in that magazine and I was transfixed! I’d completely missed RDJr up to that point in my life, but I’ve been a big fan ever since.

There was also an article about blood diamonds, by Sebastian Junger. Y’know, for balance.

  2. @bangmaster: He’s a fascinating guy. And also, smoking hot. Did I mention that?

  3. I have to admit DottyZ, you’re winning me over to the RDJ bandwagon! So keep up the man candy… 🙂

  4. I think we all know by now that I would hop right on the straight bandwagon for a night with Robert.
